Custom PO types

A PO type categorizes a purchase order beyond just status — for example, a regular stock PO versus a drop ship PO going to a customer. PO Flow ships with three built-in types and lets you add your own on Growth and Pro plans.

Built-in types (all plans)

• Regular — the default, for standard stock POs.
• Drop ship — for orders that ship directly from supplier to customer.
• Will call — for orders you (or a customer) pick up from the supplier.

Custom types (Growth and Pro)

On the Growth and Pro plans, you can add additional PO types in Settings.

1. Go to Settings → Purchase Order Types.
2. Click Add PO Type.
3. Enter a name and an internal value (used by integrations).
4. Optionally mark the type as the default for new POs.
5. Click Save.

Using PO types on a PO

Pick the type from the PO Type dropdown when creating or editing a PO. The selected type appears on the PDF and on the PO record.
