Assigning suppliers to a product

Use the Product Suppliers block on a Shopify product page to assign one or more suppliers with a primary.

Assigning suppliers to a product

PO Flow needs to know which supplier (or suppliers) you order each product from. You assign suppliers to a product directly from the Shopify product page using the Product Suppliers block, which PO Flow installs into the Shopify admin.

Adding the Product Suppliers block

  1. Open any product in your Shopify admin.
  2. Click Add block at the bottom of the product page.
  3. Pick Product Suppliers from the PO Flow section.
  4. Optionally pin the block so it appears on every product page.

Assigning a supplier

  1. In the Product Suppliers block, click Add supplier.
  2. Search and pick from your list of suppliers.
  3. The supplier appears in the assigned list. The first supplier you add is the primary (priority 1).

If you have not added any suppliers in PO Flow yet, the block prompts you to create one first.

Multiple suppliers and primary

A product can have any number of assigned suppliers. They are ordered by priority — the supplier at the top is the primary. To promote a non-primary supplier, click Make primary on its row. To remove a supplier, click Remove.

How assignments feed PO Flow

  • Import from Shopify order uses the primary supplier as the default routing for each line; the dropdown lets you switch to any other assigned supplier per line.
  • The supplier's Supplier Products tab shows every product where that supplier is assigned, along with any supplier-specific SKU and price you have set.
