Landed cost tracking
Add freight, duties, or other landed costs to a PO and allocate them across line items; Growth and Pro.
Landed cost tracking
Available on the Growth and Pro plans. Landed cost tracking lets you capture the extra costs of a PO beyond the supplier's unit price — freight, duties, customs, brokerage — and allocate them across line items so each line shows its true unit cost including those costs.
Adding a landed cost
- Open the PO from the Purchase Orders list.
- Scroll to the Landed costs section on the PO form.
- Click Add landed cost.
- Pick a Cost type (freight, duties, customs, broker fee, other), optionally add a description, and enter the estimated amount.
- Click Save.
Allocation across line items
Each landed cost is allocated across the PO's line items by value — a more expensive line absorbs a proportionally larger share of the landed cost. Each line shows its allocated landed cost and resulting true unit cost in the PO form.
Actual vs estimated
Each landed cost has an estimated amount you enter when creating the PO, and an actual amount you can fill in once the real invoice arrives. The allocations recalculate when you update the actual.
Landed costs and PDFs
You can choose to include landed costs on the PO PDF when sending or downloading. The toggle appears in the email modal and the download options.
