Reverse an entire receipt or correct individual line quantities to fix mistakes; inventory updates automatically.

Correcting or deleting a receipt

If you record a receipt incorrectly — wrong location, wrong quantities, or a shipment that needs to be sent back — you do not have to live with the mistake. PO Flow has two repair actions on the Receipts section of any PO.

Delete (reverse) a receipt

Use Delete Receipt when the entire receipt should not have happened — for example, you confirmed before counting the stock and the shipment was wrong.

  1. Open the PO and scroll to the Receipts section.
  2. Find the receipt and click Delete Receipt.
  3. Enter a reason for the reversal (required).
  4. Click Confirm.

PO Flow decreases Shopify on-hand inventory by the receipt's quantities at the original location, marks the receipt as reversed, and updates the PO status if it no longer matches the remaining received total.

Correct a receipt

Use Correct Receipt when most of the receipt was right but one or two lines need adjusting.

  1. Click Correct Receipt on the receipt in question.
  2. Edit the corrected quantity for each line.
  3. Enter a reason for the correction (required).
  4. Click Confirm.

PO Flow adjusts Shopify on-hand inventory by the difference (positive or negative) for each corrected line. The receipt is updated in place and the correction is recorded in the PO history.
