Shopify Flow triggers

Seven Shopify Flow triggers for PO Flow events such as created, sent, approved, received, and returns; Pro only.

Shopify Flow triggers

Available on the Pro plan. PO Flow publishes seven triggers to Shopify Flow so you can build automations that respond to PO Flow events — for example, posting to Slack when a PO is approved or alerting your warehouse when stock is received.

Available triggers

  • Purchase order created — fires when a new PO is saved.
  • Purchase order sent — fires when a PO is emailed to a supplier or marked as sent.
  • Purchase order approved — fires when an approval workflow completes successfully.
  • Purchase order rejected — fires when an approval workflow ends in rejection.
  • Stock received — fires when a receipt is confirmed against a PO.
  • Return to supplier created — fires when a new RTS is created.
  • Supplier credit recorded — fires when a supplier credit is created from a resolved return.

Using a trigger

  1. Open Shopify Flow in your admin.
  2. Click Create workflow.
  3. Pick a PO Flow trigger from the list.
  4. Add the conditions and actions you want the workflow to run.

Payload

Each trigger sends a payload of fields about the event — PO number, supplier name, totals, status — so you can use the values in conditions and downstream actions inside Flow.
