What to do when products do not appear in the product search when creating a purchase order.

Products are not showing up when creating a PO

When creating a purchase order, PO Flow searches your Shopify product catalogue in real time. If products are not appearing there are a few things to check.

Make sure the product is active in Shopify

PO Flow only shows active products. If a product is set to Draft or Archived in Shopify it will not appear in the search results. Go to Shopify Admin → Products and check the product's status.

Try searching by SKU

If searching by product name is not returning results, try searching by the product's SKU instead. PO Flow searches both product names and SKUs.

Check the product has inventory tracking enabled

Products that do not track inventory may not appear in PO Flow's product search since they cannot have inventory received against them. Go to the product in Shopify Admin and make sure Track quantity is enabled for the variant.

Wait a moment and retry

The product search queries Shopify's API in real time. Occasionally there can be a short delay if Shopify's API is experiencing high traffic. Wait a few seconds and try your search again.

Product was recently added

If you just added a product to Shopify, it may take a moment for it to be indexed and appear in search results. Try again after a minute.

Still not finding the product

If a specific product consistently does not appear in the search, contact PO Flow support with the product name, SKU, and your store domain so we can investigate.
